Yes I agree with @canard. Glass should be avoided, if possible, in the listening room... Especially near the electronics and speakers.Really?
Glass is a better thermal conductor than wood.
(That's not the point...?)
Yes I agree with @canard. Glass should be avoided, if possible, in the listening room... Especially near the electronics and speakers.
As others pointed out, (planar) glass surfaces are pretty bad for reflections. They also have undesirable resonance characteristics that are difficult to dampen easily...
this is why tube amps etc do a lot to dampen the vibrations in order to reduce microphonics.
Yeh fair enough... I take your points. But I guess I'm just a bit more extreme in my view on the topic?!I should never have pointed out the screen stories between speakers, etc.
We all do with our rooms, or we think of them more as living room ( my case) than auditoriums , or for many, small audio-video mixed systems... ....
and I also have windows in my room, so glad it's not a cellar! ;-) )
My point was originally really about the glass supports for the devices... ;-)
we can possibly close the curtains ;-)Yeh fair enough... I take your points. But I guess I'm just a bit more extreme in my view on the topic?!
I also have glass in my listening room - Windows (often covered with curtains during listening sessions) and a mirror, since it can't be avoided entirely![]()
It's really not the most common conditions... ;-)
and seem not really for captations... more post prod ;-)It's really not the most common conditions... ;-)
Hi, what make are those feet on the Wiim Pro Plus? How did you guys install your Vibelink amp?
It would be great if you could post some photos of your Vibelink here. I'm still trying to decide on a layout. I would like to use yours as a reference

The IKEA mirror (SÖRLI) was the same size as Vibelink, so I put it underneath

The volume knob has the best feel ever on the WiiM

I connected an Amazon basic 12 gauge cable to the included banana plug. The hole is 4mm in diameter, so cables up to 7 gauge may be used.

There are photos of the Ultra being considered for matching.

Maybe the legs are the same as Amp pro.

Plugs smaller than 15 mm appear to be insertable.

Here are some additional information not found in the manual.
[Auto Standby operation of the Vibelink amp]
View attachment 19118
LED indicate 3 different power conditions.
With the auto-standby feature, after 30 minutes of idling, the unit enters standby mode and the LED dims. After another 30 minutes, the LED will turn off completely and enter sleep mode.
- Bright LED: playing or idling
- LED dimmed: in standby mode
- LED off: in sleep mode
(After 60 minutes without any playback, the unit will enter sleep mode.)
[Operation by Standby button on rear panel]

Currently, the device can only be automatically activated from a 12V trigger while in sleep mode. In the future, it will be possible to wake from sleep from the WiiM home app via Bluetooth.
- Short click: Standby on/off
- Long click: Sleep on/off
- Long click for 5 seconds: Reset
Further supplement. Operation when the power cable is unplugged.
If the power cable is unplugged during standby and then plugged back in, Vibelink will start up. If it is in sleep mode, it will not start (LED remains off).

very politely..I hadn't pointed it out..nor asked for measurements with or without.... ;-))Hi, what make are those feet on the Wiim Pro Plus?
There are so many efforts, offers, conflicting ideas, etc. concerning support feet, suspended electronics, gigantic businesses, that just comparing a support made of a wooden plate like dense plywood or glass is not very "mean-involving" ;-)This is not electromechanics.
as long as it's not glass... ;-)))High Density Fibre board.
How many are there in the batch? ;-))
You could put your drinks on it if you did
