Vibelink in Bridge Mode for an Subwoofer (4Ohm)

Hello, I currently have an Ulta Amp for two Klipsch Monitor speakers and would like to add a homemade subwoofer to the system. The integrated subwoofer crossover in the Ultra Amp seems ideal for this. However, for aesthetic reasons, I would like to replace my Fossi Amp TP02 with a Vibelink. Can I bridge the Vibelink so that I can operate the subwoofer? Unfortunately, I can't find any information about this anywhere.

Regards
Marcel

I don’t think so - I guess it’s designed as a two channel stereo amp and I haven’t seen anything to suggest it can be operated in bridge mode. Indeed I suspect if it hasn’t been designed to operate in that mode, you could end up causing some damage.

The WiiM Vibelink Amp uses a single TI TPA3255 chip which is configured for two channels in bridge-tied load (BTL) mode. That means, two of the four channels are bridged already.

Using it in single channel parallel bridge-tied mode would require a different output configuration and a different external circuitry.

So the answer is no, indeed.

That's a bit of a shame, of course. Does anyone have a good recommendation for a monoblock with approx. 300W RMS at 4 ohms? The Fossi TP02 also has a slight hum at the RCA input, which is a bit annoying anyway.

3E AUDIO A7 Mono.

Not exactly 300 W into 4 ohm (240 W). But nominally 4 ohm speakers often dip quite a bit deeper at certain frequencies and the A7 Mono can output a whopping 430 W into 2 ohm.

This amp could be considered a bit "overqualified" for subwoofer use ;) but it's rock stable and can still provide its full power into low bass frequencies (something not all amps are capable of).
