Give it a F**^^g remote control ..... this Amp is SO near and yet SO FAR ..... if it had a remote I would have instantly bought one but WiiM Pros and Minis, the only way to take advantage of the higher quality DAC in the Vibelink is with Optical out and if you use the Pro / Mini for volume control it degrades the SQ.

I have other things I'd like to plug into the RCA and I have Zero interest in walking around the room every time in order to switch the input in order to do so.

So many people saying this amp could be great but it's stuck in "No Mans Land" and that, in my opinion would be a major reason why.

Maybe they can make a VibeLink Pro or VibeLink Plus that has remote control, a motorized or relay-controlled analog volume control, ARC input, subwoofer output/bass management, and Bluetooth.

Or they can just call that a WiiM Amp Minus (since it's minus the streaming features :ROFLMAO:).

You want more features?
Spend more money.
You knew the Vibelink didn‘t have a remote. So why did you buy it and complain now?

Gosh ... what a rude and unhelpful response!

For your information I haven't bought one, I'm doing research before buying an amp and have a bigger budget if necessary so you look like a bit of an idiot with your "finger pointy" comment.

Well, how can I help you then, Sir?
I‘m afraid I cannot bake a remote for the Vibelink.
The best anyone can do for you is to advise you to either buy a different amp or to simply use the volume control of your streamer.
If you consider their DACs inferior then buy better streamers. The cat‘s biting its tail at this point.

As I’ve said many times, I see the vibelink as a “set it and forget it” power amp that simply has the convenience of choice to use digital input for an older, less capable streamer like the Pro, Pro Plus or even the Mini. I definitely don’t see it as a pre-amp or integrated amp where you’d be swapping between different inputs - you choose the streamer input, set the vibelink amp’s max volume and then use the streamer and its remote to change volume or its inputs, never to touch the vibelink again. YMMV of course…

No need to get exited here, folks.
I sometimes like to pinpoint things which can involve confronting people with their own motives.
This may convey a certain degree of rudeness in some cultures.
So don‘t take it to heart.

I'm not so sure about this one. :)

If there's anything I dislike about the Vibelink Amp it's the fact that you must use a trigger cable to wake it up from deep sleep.

Would you prefer a wake-up by an incoming signal and auto-shut-off? Actually this is my preference for an amp. But I thought I was alone in this.

See post #1 from yourself.

It was a tongue in cheek comment .... if you want replace F**^^g with flipping.

Every review says pretty much the same and it's widely commented on in many forum threads voicing my comments.

I've been a huge WiiM fan having for a long time and have owned 8 of their streamers but I just feel this lands in the "in-between", which is frustrating and a great shame because if it had a remote I believe it would open up a far wider audience and as I said in my opening post I would have instantly bought one.

I already them which I use for more critical listening and hence why the remote would be useful to go between that and my WiiMs that I use for less critical multiroom listening and convenience of voice commands with Alexa.

Maybe they will bring out an upgraded Vibelink Pro / Plus version at some stage that does include a remote, if it's similar price point or a bit more and similar size I think it'd do incredibly well.

When the Vibelink was released, WiiM got a lot of negative comments for including the volume control, and more than one input. Seemingly people didn't want these, so I imagine that a remote control wouldn't go down too well with most potential purchasers either.

Well those would be the purists who basically wanted a pair of V3 Monos plus their power supplies all enclosed within a WiiM Ultra enclosure with the screen removed.

It certainly doesn't need a remote control.

This is the whole point of what I and others are saying though ... it's neither one thing or the other.

I think there's 2 different markets, one being the purists who just want a power amp and not the extra inputs and those looking for a small integrated and it doesn't strictly fall into either category and gets lost in the middle.

The fact it's got several inputs, the chances are you're going to want to use it with more than just a WiiM streamer, it also has a volume control so not unreasonable to think a remote may be useful ... even if it was an extra.

Include it and I can't think of anything else that would come close around that price point with 100 watts into 8 Ohm and the compact size which is brilliant for situations where space is it a premium and keeps it wife friendly.

There is obviously the WiiM Amp Ultra which I'm sure is blinding, but not everybody wants to use WiiM as a streamer, or they already own a Mini, Pro, Pro Plus or Ultra so you're paying £180 more for something you don't need.
