Hi, I’m unable to see where this review mentions ‘3 ohms’ also why does the amp have less output than what’s stated on documentation??Have fun:

WiiM Vibelink Amp Review
This is a review and detailed measurements of the WiiM Vibelink stereo class D amplifier with DAC. It was sent to me by the company and I believe will cost US $299 [original estimatews $400.]. I was relieved from the point of view of testing that is NOT a streaming product so no need to mess...www.audiosciencereview.com
A little more (but not much) than at 4ohm load is the short answer.Hey,
When the Vibelink is running on the 100 w/c option what wattage would it output at 3 ohms?
Cheers,
Peter
Power measurements are done in 8 and 4 ohms and the difference between what WiiM says and the ASR measurements is because WiiM is a little optimistic in their specs (happens often in the audio world) A peak power figure mostly is measured at 1% distortion. What is the context of your question about the power of the amp?Hi, I’m unable to see where this review mentions ‘3 ohms’ also why does the amp have less output than what’s stated on documentation??
Peter
From this measurement in the ASR review it appears that the Vibelink Amp can generate similar power into 4Ohm and 2Ohm loads, so 3Ohm should be similar as well:I’m running Focal Aria 936 floor standers which have a minimum impedance of 2.8 ohms.

Note that the practical difference in maximum sound pressure level at the listening position between a 150W and 200W amp would be only about 1dB SPL.
You need to double the power to get +3dB SPL (which would be a little louder), and you need 10 times the power to get +10dB SPL (which would be double as loud).
Hey Harkpabt,Truth to be told, this is not ideal territory for the Vibelink Amp, if this impedance dip is somewhere in the bass region. It's specified to be stable down to 2.66 Ω loads, so it will work reliably, but it's an edge case.
You might have noticed in the ASR review that the power output into low loads also starts to depend on the phase angle quite a bit. Unfortunately, WiiM only started to use a dual chip TPA3255 configuration with the Amp Ultra. Maybe something like the 3E AUDIO A7 with a 48 V 10 A PSU was the safer bet in your case ...
I guess Aliexpress is your friend here.Hey Harkpabt,
Thanks for your response can you advise who sells these amps please, I’m in Australia.
Peter
Perhaps the WiiM Amp Ultra is worth a look as well since it is built with 2xTPA3255 chips and can therefore drive 2 Ohm loads.Hey Harkpabt,
