Hi
I have a new WiiM Ultra and when listening to internet radio the volume control on the Wiim and the remote doesn't work. I have looked in the audio settings and the fixed volume is not enabled.

Grateful for any suggestions.

Colin

Same thing when using Plex in the WHA.

Hi
Yet to connect another source e.g. cd player, but have power cycled several times
Please describe your setup and your settings in the WiiM Home app in more detail.

How do you listen to Internet radio? vTuner, TuneIn or Open Network Stream?
Which output of the WiiM Ultra is connected to which other device?

When you turn the knob on the Ultra, the volume setting should show on the touchscreen display.

Hi
Wireless to broadband, Bluetooth to speakers, whatever streaming service I use, the physical knob or the app the volume just doesn't change. It changes if I use the speaker volume control knob. Everything on the WiiM and app shows me the volume is increasing, but doesn't.

Hi
Well, I have just switched to a pair of Edifier R1855DB from the PreSonus E4.5BT, both blue tooth and powered speakers, and volume control on WiiM Ultra now working.
How can the PreSonus E4.5BT speakers be incompatible with the WiiM Ultra.
Can't think of any explanation but thank you all for replies and listening
Regards
Colin

As per previous question, what's shown on the touchscreen display when you rotate the physical knob on the Ultra?

Does the volume slider change in the app? An you take a screenshot of the playback screen inside the WiiM Home app? We've had rare cases of the volume control being locked when it shouldn't be.

Did you use the Windows or MacOS Beta Version of the WiiM Home app at any point in time?

Btw I have toggled the fixed volume output option and no difference (off, on, off)
Fixed volume output must be disabled, of course. Otherwise the volume cannot be controlled, which is the whole idea behind this setting.

Still interested to hear if the sound was very loud or very low.

Neither can I. Inputs don't really matter, outputs may.

Is this your permanent solution or just a momentry workaround?

Hi
All of the WiiM visual indicators of the volume control work as expected on the front panel and the app.
I've rebooted the E4.5BT speakers, used the forget device, paired again and still the same.
E4.5BT speakers work with my other devices and are good sounding speakers so disappointed their not working with the WiiM. Will try cables now, between WiiM and the E4.5BT speakers and will let you know.

Thanks
Colin

The only explanation that would make sense is that your speakers are not really paired to the WiiM Ultra, even if you think they are.

Hi, volume control on both the WiiM ultra volume control knob and app volume control work as expected with a physical rca cable connecting the presonas e4.5bt monitors and the wiim.
To answer harkpabst, Bluetooth volume control works with other but speakers and there is audio on the e4.5bt speakers, it just can’t respond to volume control from the wiim or app.

Thank you everyone

Can you control the volume of the speakers if you play to the via Bluetooth from your phone directly?

Volume up and volune down commands should be handles by the Audio/Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP). This functionality has been included since the very beginning, AVRCP version 1.0.

Either the Umtra doesn't send these commands in a way the Eris understand it or the Eris don't have proper AVRCP support at all. To check which device might be to blame you can try use your phone as a direct source.
