Vtuner problem

With the latest update I received today. 5.2.628942. 20240911. The vtuner function is having a problem. I listen to a station at 7am. I stop the unit and it shuts down (screen goes dark and presumably stops streaming all together. Come back at noon, to listen to a different program on the same station, I hit the play button on the Ultra expecting the new program and its still playing the program from 7am. It goes on for a least runs for over a minute. It acts as if it's stored a large amount of streaming data. We'll over a minutes worth. Did not do it before the update

Raise a ticket to WiiM via the settings/feedback section in the app to see if they can improve that - I’d guess when it goes into standby it should clear out any buffers.

You could try briefly switching to another station then back to the first until WiiM come back with a fix.

The switching back and forth works. What is odd, I have a ticket going on that topic. But Wiim says the unit is not designed to buffer hours of data.

You only said it plays for another minute or so, so it doesn’t sound like it’s buffering hours of transmission

The was a bad use of words. I don't know the exact amount of old stream it would play. My point was Wiim said the Ultra is not designed to hold in memory large amounts of buffered stream. So the behavior of doing this is odd, I did get a message today from Wiim this behavior (as they phrase it) is going to be updated in a upcoming firmware release.
