What are you listening to?

Guessing the kef doesn’t have a rear port if so how’s the bass?😊
No the Kef’s don’t have a rear port but the Bass is fine. I’ve been playing a lot of Dub and its stomach moving at a decent volume. I’ve had some Kef’s before which had similar characteristics.

I don’t like using a Sub for HiFi music listening as a rule (although I do have one in my office to compensate for the lack of low end on the Wharfedale Modus Cubes I have on my desktop). The Mission will support a Sub but there is no space in the room for one. Even a small one.

There’s no WiiM in here but there is a Raspberry Pi attached to the Mission’s USB input which sounds awesome.

And the Behringer is for digitizing vinyls? Or has it other jobs too?
Good question. It has a USB out so it can digitise but here it’s actually only operating as a phono preamp it has the advantage of 3 simultaneous outputs. One goes to the amp, another goes to a USB audio interface (also Behringer) that is doing the digitising and is hidden behind the pic of my old dog.

The Behringer on show is 16/44.1 only but the box behind the dog is 24/192 capable (although I’m only using 24/96).

Thanks for the info I am replacing my Sonos 5s + sub and kef just made the list the 778 was already on my radar 👍

Cool how is the onboard dac?
So far I have only used the USB input to the DAC with a Raspberry Pi. Sounds superb. There is a 778 CDT due in the Autumn which is transport only. It’s been designed to match the DAC. Depending on £ I may get one.

I am just a vinyl and streamer guy but 778 amp is on my shortlist
Quad vena 2
Rega brio
Rega io
Are the other 3 😊

Only the Quad has a similar built in DAC as far as I can tell but I think it’s ugly

Hehe yea always wanted a quad back in the day the rega means I buy an ultra the others I get a pro
Not rushing into it though after my Sonos mistake

Interesting band but too much electronic "crossover" for my liking so far. This is one of the less electronic songs so far and then I can see some potential 😁😂😅

I think the WiiM Amp has the same DAC as the Mission 😀
I think you may be correct. It sounds great to me.
Another point about using the Behringer as a phono preamp. It may not be the best phono preamp around but it has excellent grounding circuit. Not even a whisper of hum etc
