What are you listening to?

Hey, its early morning. Weather seems to become brilliant. Going to a Bossel fight for the U60 later and granted me a bit of teenie pop. Pardon me!
At least its her own voice and live in the studio it wasn't really bad.
It does not always have to be filled with depth and meaning 😉
Err... Psycholinguistics was one of the areas I used to lecture in (when I had a job 😁 of sorts), so I'm probably over-sensitised to English-as-she-is-spoken....

A few years ago British English was afflicted by what could be called the Australian Interrogative - every sentence was pronounced with a tonal rise on the last syllable. Every sentence sounded like a question.
Also bizarre.

Enjoy walking the hound! 😀🚶🐶

My mom was Scot, so my first contact with the English language was a bit.....different 😉
Because it wasn't common in the early 50s to get a two-language education at home my second contact with the English language by German teachers was a bit....different too 😂
Ah... There's English English and then there's Scots - Rabbie Burns and Greyfriars Bobby territory 😋. I really warm to the Edinburgh accent, and the Orkadian, too!

Stories from a mispent youth. This video clip brought back memories of sitting on hold waiting for a Word Perfect (ancient and early word processor program) technician to answer my query. They used to play this on a loop... Soon became too much of a good thing 😜
