What are you listening to?

Jem Recordings, which in 2013 rose from the ashes of the then important import label Jem Records (Cheap Trick; The Cure; Simple Minds; Siouxsie and the Banshees) - today is home to neo'60s acts like the Anderson Council, the Gold Needles, and the Midnight Callers. That lineup put the label in a unique position to deliver Lennon's songs in a way at once retro and refreshingly modern. The success of the record led to the creation of the "Celebrates" series, which would go on to celebrate the music of Brian Wilson, Pete Townshend, Ray Davies-and now Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. Fun! As the other albums in this series are.

In the mood for MH.
Similar to Zakk Wylde, Molly Hatchet later developed into a steadily harder band, which was no longer attributed by purists to the southern rock genre, but rather to the hard & heavy terrain. But at the end of the seventies, the blues and country influences were still clearly felt.

If you like a bit of house, this video is well shot and the music is a bonus. Ben Boehmer plays a live sunrise concert from a balloon in Cappadocia Turkey. The music needs a good pair of floorstanders or bookshelf and a sub and a big screen TV.
