Thanks for your reply...maybe @merifon can say anything about this matter I'm a noob..I guess @merifon could be a very good person to answer your questions!
Interesting questions which I'd like to know the answer to as well
Was that the programme with Jean Challis? I used to listen to that, but can't remember whether it was before, or after Sing Something Simple.Though for a moment I’d tuned into a Sunday lunchtime broadcast of “Two Way Family Favourites” from RAF Akrotiri on the BBC Light Programme

Wakey Wakey, that was back in the day when the radio was worth listening to. I used to enjoy listening to Friday Night Is Music Night, The Organist Entertains, Sam on Sunday, Your Hundred Best Tunes, and many other programmes that I can't remember the titles of.Yeah, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Family_Favourites
I’d forgotten about Sing Something Simple. We’ll be reminiscing about the Billy Cotton Band Show next
The only thing I listen to with any regularityWakey Wakey, that was back in the day when the radio was worth listening to. I used to enjoy listening to Friday Night Is Music Night, The Organist Entertains, Sam on Sunday, Your Hundred Best Tunes, and many other programmes that I can't remember the titles of.
I don't think that there is anything worth listening to anymore, as I don't listen to the radio anymore.
I'm not keen on all of the inane chatter on the radio, and prefer listening to music.I do listen to Radio Paradise mainly in the car or as background music, but on the BBC it’s Radcliffe&Maconie (grumpy old men like me) on 6Music at the weekends but little else. Oh, and PopMaster with Ken Bruce each morning at 1030 sharp
That’s what’s good about Radio Paradise - there’s no chatter at all…I'm not keen on all of the inane chatter on the radio, and prefer listening to music.
I will give it a try sometime. That’s what’s good about Radio Paradise - there’s no chatter at all…
