This is a great idea!I'd like to see some outdoor speakers that are Integrated in the Wiim family. Quality stuff like so that I'd have one app for indoor and outdoor music, to be used on the balcony/ in the garden - good sound and water/dustproof - this would be fantastic!
Ciao, Stefan
Almost exactly like the recently announced Vibelink amp then. This sounds a lot like a plain amp or actual Wiim powered speakers.
Not seen that. Don’t use the forum much. I’ll check it out.Almost exactly like the recently announced Vibelink amp then.
Not what I wanted really.Almost exactly like the recently announced Vibelink amp then.
I’d like to see an Ultra Amp with an improved power supply, phono stage and significant high

we've been asking for this pure digital transport from WiiM with ethernet, no fancy screens for a while now. basically a mini + ethernet without the analog in/out + and some extra digital outputs like USB + AES, possibly including I2S or something fancy just to satisfy the crazy DDC+DAC owners here somewhat! something like the FiiO SR11 (https://www.fiio.com/sr11) with the nice WiiM software secret sauceI use the Ultra in my living room solely as a transport / streamer. I love the HDMI port to get my TV onto a B&O system. Acquiring the Ultra removed a Sonos Beam and a Port from my system. The beam got the TV into Sonos and the I wirelessly send the signal to the port and Into the B&O. I output the Ultra to an external DAC via USB and it sounds exquisite; orders of magnitude above the Sonos solution. Without the external DAC, the Ultra sounds underwhelming, rather flat. Having said that, taking the price + function of the Ultra and adding in an external DAC, theres a value proposition that trades punches with streamers much more expensive.
Thats why I'm after a DAC-less endpoint I can simply plug into existing equipment.

but tbh i don't think they will do it anytime soon. would love to be proven wrong but i just don't think they would be able to market it alongside the current line-up that all has analog out...
agreed, that's what we're asking for...Kind of that but a higher end product. Filtered supply, full metal enclosure, filtered digital out ports. It’s not just functionality or lack thereof, but careful implementation with low EMI/RFI noise.
Hi Team,That will gain you an extra 2.2dB compared to the WiiM Amp Pro.
Hi Team,
If you’d like to boost the volume on your WiiM Amp Pro/Amp, try setting a positive pre-gain for your input. We recommend starting with a small increase, like +3dB, and adjusting as needed. Let us know how it works for you!
