What products you'd like to see WiiM produce?

I don’t feel ignored connecting my WiiM Ultra (or even Mini) into my amp/DAC…
I don't like to pay for things I don't need in Ultra and get $350 lower end digital device. Is it any better than Pro with linear PSU, by the way? I need best possible quality streamer with variety of quality outputs, good power supply, good clock, etc. I feel that Wiim could use its magic to create superb $500 (or less) streamer. They just don't think that they should. Eversolo did it.

Yes, they did - for the believers.
WiiM stands for minimalist setups which is possible today. High-end isn‘t far away (leaving the amp side away).
Separate DAC/preamps only make sense for headphones these days.
Given high-end amplification and speakers the WiiM Ultra will serve them adequately.

I'm not sure what exactly do you mean. But I am sure that a lot of people do believe that there can be a better sound than digital part of Ultra can offer.
TBH, I‘d yet have to hear that.
Not faming the WiiM Ultra, but streamers and DACs cannot be improved any further sonically.

So you want to pay more for less 🤔

The additional costs for the WiiM DAC hardware is minimal. Just skip it.

No. The WiiM Pro with any power supply is just as good on the digital hardware (except it doesn't have USB output). It all comes down to the software. As WiiM devices can produce bit perfect output, it doesn't get any better no matter what "high-end" hardware you put into it.

You can get more outputs, yes. You could also get outputs that works in parallel. The digital audio signal would however be the same no matter what hardware you use. The power supply don't really matter when we work at the digital level. Either it works or it doesn't. The clock in the current Pro and Ultra is as good as needed. The jitter is way below any human hearing threshold.

They already make one for $350 😁
So to be honest, I don't think your dream will come through. But you never know. I just hope the WiiM focus will be somewhere else.
Eversolo did it.
Good for them. You can just buy that one.

OMG I guess I was too naive to think that I could just post the item. It seems now that in order to submit my stuff I have to, so to speak, withstand some kind of brawl with ignorant seniors and AI-talking contributors. WiiM, be careful which contribution your contributors produce.
Can you all, please, find yourself a better way to promote Wiim items?

But not zero. I'd prefer to trade it for LPSU option (just an example).

As WiiM devices can produce bit perfect output, it doesn't get any better no matter what "high-end" hardware you put into it.
I feel sorry for Wiim that its major contributor is limited to this level of knowledge. Why should anyone buy Pro(+) over Mini then? WiiM is just wasting their production capacities.

I appreciate your opinion. Can you assume that your hearing is not the best on the planet and not all the people buying hi-fi gear are stupid?

They already make one for $350 😁
Brillant joke - just as everything else.

Good for them. You can just buy that one.
Ok. I wonder if Wiim is really looking for that kind of contribution.

If you don't want a qualified feedback, why post anything in a user forum?

Edit: Regarding the Mini v. the Pro. The Mini is very limited in processing speed and memory. The pure digital processing is however still good. I have seen some measurements (don't remember where) that show that the Mini's clock is not as good as it could be. So you get a higher jitter noise than from the other WiiMs.

Have you tried any WiiM devices? It isn't clear from any of your posts.

In January you wanted to pay $300 for the same thing.
Now you are prepared to pay $500
Thank you very much for your time. Not that I owned you a freaking explanation) But I really want to contribute to Wiim brand which I respect and have bought Mini, Pro, Pro+ for several systems. Yes, I thought about $300 streamer without DAC, screen and other zoomers stuff. Since then I realized that many people like screens and I have seen several different mid-class streamers. The lastest item is Eversolo T8. It has some features that hardly could be fitted in $300. So, I think $500 is fine. Mister contributor, may I please have this personal opinion as a Wiim customer? Thank you.

Requesting new functionality is a good idea. Requesting alternative methods to achieve functionality that already exists while providing little to no improvement that can be detected whatsoever due to the main constraints in our system being our rooms and speaker distortion level is not so great of an idea. So asking for internal NVMe slot, asking for an integrated CD transport, or asking for true differential balanced outputs (because there are power amps without single-ended input) would make sense. Maybe ask for an external PSU, sure, then you can upgrade it to your heart's content.

Functionality. WiiM Pro, Pro Plus, and Ultra all have greater and greater functionality. They were never released, "to sound better," but to offer greater functionality.

They are honestly not catering to the same market segment as Eversolo. What do we (I say this being an actual Eversolo owner) have to gain from WiiM making the same thing as a T8 when the T8 already exists? Surely it's not the software, because unlike HEOS, BluOS, or Volumio, the software on Eversolo streamers is actually as good as WiiM's.

What makes you think you are qualified? What makes you think I asked any feedback from you? I repeat again, I replied to Wiim's question which item I would like them to produce. Are you an authorised Wiim employee? So, why the hell are you sperading your wisdom on me? If Wiim deside to reply, they will give me one of the three answers: "We will do it, we will not do it, we will consider it and reply later". That's it.

That is the exact expert opinion which we all need. You and your comrades said that "bit-perfect" digital signal is already perfect and there can't be any better sound. Now you are saying that it's not only about 0's and 1's and talk about jitter. Well done! There are so many things to discover ahead of you ))

This is a user forum and contributors are not associated with WiiM in any way.
I feel sorry for Wiim that its major contributor is limited to this level of knowledge.
After working 40+ years with network and digital technology, including audio streaming and associated software, I for sure hope I have the knowledge. My employer would be very disappointed if not.

If this was about the analog, amplifier and speaker stuff, I wouldn't comment at all though.
Why should anyone buy Pro(+) over Mini then? WiiM is just wasting their production capacities.
It's about software capabilities.
I appreciate your opinion. Can you assume that your hearing is not the best on the planet
It's not. My comments are purely based on the facts I know.
and not all the people buying hi-fi gear are stupid?
So you think I am?
Brillant joke - just as everything else.
Thanks!
Ok. I wonder if Wiim is really looking for that kind of contribution.
You can ask them.
