CD players that do no respects the standards of the beige book NEVER play gapless, even when they should. Or at least that's what I've been told....on a cd it is gapless when it is necessary, continuous, like in classical music etc and not gapless when differentiated tracks like in "pop music etc"... just when streaming cannot make the distinction....

I have never had an issue streaming gaplessly with Lyrion.On certain uses, streaming is quickly unbearable...or say far from being a progress for the moment...

I don't see a need for an ordinary CD transport. There are several of those in the market. Check also other comments and threads in the Forum.CD transport
