What products you'd like to see WiiM produce?

I've been absolutely loving my Wiim products and I miss a disruptive AV receiver

The AV Receiver market feels stagnant. On one end, you have traditional AVRs that are often bulky, run hot, and have clunky interfaces. On the other, soundbars are taking over for simplicity, but they can't match a true discrete speaker setup for immersion. There's a clear white space for a modern, efficient, and smart WiiM AVR.

In my opinion it could ideally have these core specs:
  • Channels: 11 channels of amplification to natively support 7.2.4 (or 7.4.4!) setups without needing an external amp.
  • Subwoofer Outputs: At least 2, ideally 4 independent subwoofer outputs with advanced bass management.
  • Amplification: GaN (Gallium Nitride) Class D Amplifiers. This would make the receiver relatively compact, energy-efficient, and run very cool compared to traditional Class A/B designs. JBL has shown there's demand for this tech in AVRs, but there's room for a more software-focused player like Wiim.
  • All the smarts of the Wiim ecosystem built-in: multi-room audio, streaming services, and your excellent app as the primary control center.
Other features I would like to see:
  • A Large, High-Quality Front Display: Even bigger and more informative than the one on the Wiim Ultra.
  • Improved Room Correction third party subwoofer advanced management inclusive.
I think offering such a product would make strategic sense for Wiim because it leverages your core strengths to address a segment dominated by traditional boring and inefficient designs. The home theater enthusiast niche is smaller than the mass-market soundbar audience but it sees no real innovations since long time. Success with an integrated receiver would naturally create a platform for expanding the ecosystem, allowing for future products like a matching AV preamp/processor and separate power amplifiers, ultimately building a complete Wiim Home Theater lineup.

Same thinking as me,wiim has impressed me massively so far

Haven't been able to read every suggestion but the avr was in my mind too
Killer device, Nvidia shield type device with a competent 2 channel dac with RCA output and lossless HDMI output for video apps
Market is begging for a modern all in one

Hi all, this is my first post.
I'm using an Amp pro, and I want another one for the second system.
I want an AMP MINI.
It's like just the core of the Audio Pro A10 MKII.
Compact and affordable price like the A10 MKII.
Connect any speakers I like, It will be perfect for a second system, desktop, bedroom, small room, parent's house, and more.
I don't need HDMI, but I'd like SUB out, AUX, and USB Audio.
Thank you.

Hello everyone,

I'd like to revive this topic. Eversolo has released a very interesting streaming transporter with the T8. It features a linear power supply, fiber optic connection, and a sophisticated clock.

I hope Wiim has this in mind; very often, you only need a digital streamer without analog outputs.

I'd also like to see something similar to the T8 from Wiim, as I otherwise love the app.

Hi.

No need to post the same twice ;)

I think this has been discussed several times before and conclusions were that the additional price for also having the analog parts is minimal compared to having a specific product without it.

If you don't want it, don't use it. It doesn't hurt.

Regarding the optic connection, clock and power supply, that is really not needed. You may (or may not) be able to measure a difference but you will not be able to hear anything different. So save the money for the speakers.

3 in 8 out DSP processor.
SPdif, USB and Analogue in.

Should be better than miniDSP Flex 8 (I was not that impressed by the DACs / overall SQ of that.

Mich cheaper than DEQX or Trinnov offerings😲

Offer high useability. Could include bit perfect streamer too😉
Powerful enough to offer true / smart FIR.
Integration with REW of course.

I realise this is a very niche product but some of us are definitely in the market.
