Why not add a monitor output

A factory reset, having to install the old 4Stream app to configure it (manually, ugh), the UI is now working. No artwork on Tidal streams, but it's there on radio station, as long list of which is provided by the Arylic board. I agree that WiiM ought to re-implement something similar, though its use on a big TV screen is of questionable value.

Readability on the tv should be no issue it seems?

Which exact app are you using? I just downloaded the 4stream app (current version on the Playstore), but couldn't find any settings related to this WebView.

Only needed the 4Stream app to initially set up the WiFi on the Arylic board after the factory reset.

Oh right it works only with the Acrylic boards.. I thought I was going to be able to enable it on my Ultra 😄

i have build, my speaker, my furniture, put together 2 hifi system, and the 3 and 4th, will be on soon, all connected in toslink switch, i order from australia that switch to the source playing and send it to the WiiM pro plus for now, when i fugure out, how to send art cover, i will switch to wiim ultra output!

Send image to server, no problemo, the app, is unstable with volume control in windows, so after i blew my ear twice, i forgot-discard to using the app

yes i know, it's a lot of stuff, but it's paid and working, my kid will discard for sure, when my expiration date arrive, but for now, it's like window 95 to windows 11, i just put layer on layer and that's the result!

Did you mean from Austria? The automatic toslink switcher from the seller Tindie? ;)

Great little box! I still use it on my WiiM Ultra optical input - to switch between cd player and Raspberry Pi (running Ropieee for Plexamp)

Yeah, although if you link an Arylic board with your WiiM, it would display the paired stream. A hassle though, and would limit the streams to 48/16, I believe.

Several of my apps provide the capability, though anything browser based or requiring screen casting is a kluge for a tv screen. The HDMI Pi app is by far the most purposeful here.

austria, sorrry! yeah, good stuff is switch box the 8 input, two output, for my 2 hifi!

it appears, i am not the only one, fast track to do it is to use roon with apple TV or Chromecast!

not the only one who want that, Darko tell all about in this video of gift suggestion!

if a guy, is ready to pay this much, to have is artcover on his screen, i am may be old school, but prove my point there a market for a composite out, or something else to send the image to a monitor! ;)

or maybe the blouething, will do it!

It's been requested before - a simple firetv/Google tv app to display now playing, or a cast button (like YouTube). Most people have tvs, not monitors.

so we'll keep asking, when a guy pay 500$ per year to have his art cover on a wall monitor or TVs, well maybe, it matters! when it cost you more than the device to have it! or you put a 2inch screen, seems the trends right now, maybe it matters!

That would be a game changer and set them a part from other units. I woud hook it up to my video switch which goes to all my tv's.

Because a guy like Darko is prepared to pay for a 3rd party solution, shouldn't mean WiiM have to do it the old-fashioned way and add physical video output ports to their devices :) in John's case it also works over network and it seems to do a perfect job for him.

Just a stripped-down version of the existing WiiM Home app, maybe with customizable themes and layout, which can run on Android TV or Apple TV would be perfect.

It has been requested many times, but I'm just going to ask @WiiM Team again!

I raised this ticket as a feature suggestion a "long" time ago:

"This is a suggestion for implementing a "now playing" display as a cast directly from the WiiM device. This should not be the Ultra display but a dedicated display for a large screen supporting e.g. Chromecast. Could be made for all WiiM device types if the HW size allows it."

The ticket was immediately closed with:

"Thank you for getting in touch with us.
We have received your valuable suggestion and have taken note of your request for this feature. Rest assured, we will evaluate the feasibility of incorporating it into the future updates.
We appreciate your patience and understanding."

So I guess it's not in the pipeline to have anything like that?
