I have a shallow TV console (300mm) depth and due to that i am unable to use regular AV receiver. I would like to use Wiim for this setup.

I have a TCL TV with 2 gaming console (PS5 and Wii 2) which i would like to connect to.

Can someone please share with me how to connect them all together?

I read about this thread https://forum.wiimhome.com/threads/wiim-active-5-1.8848/ but not very clear and also https://faq.wiimhome.com/en/support...ing-up-a-wiim-dolby-5-1-surround-sound-system

Thank you!

Connect the TV’s HDMI ARC port to the WiiM’s HDMI ARC port. Connect both game consoles to the TV’s HDMI ports.

However, since audio latency occurs with WiiM devices and WiiM groups, you may experience issues with your game consoles. Please see here.

At least on my TV, I was unable to resolve the audio latency using the lip-sync feature and game mode. If your game console has a lip-sync feature (a function that adds a delay to the video signal), it might solve the problem, but I doubt it will work.

Connect the TV’s HDMI ARC port to the WiiM’s HDMI ARC port. Connect both game consoles to the TV’s HDMI ports.
And acquire a 2nd and 3rd (or even 4th) WiiM device for the Center and Surround Speakers.
  • 1st WiiM needs be an Amp model for Passive Front Left and Front Right Speakers else an Ultra for Active Speakers and Sub-Out
  • 2nd WiiM needs be an Amp model for Passive Surround Left and Surround Right Speakers else an Ultra / ProPlus / Pro for Active Speakers or WiiM Sound or Sound Lite Speakers
  • 3rd WiiM needs be an Amp model for Passive Center Speaker else an Ultra / ProPlus / Pro for Active Center Speaker or WiiM Sound or Sound Lite Speaker

At this time, it gets Expensive and Complicated quickly. Alternatively, there are some Soundbars with Good "Virtual 5.1" and even a few with dedicated Wireless Surrounds...
Someday WiiM might have a better answer to play in this 5.1 configuration.

Are you explaining this to me? Thank you.😄

Since OP had already read the wireless surround manual, I only explained how to connect the TV and the game console.

Btw, the WiiM Amp does not support Dolby Audio.

I tend to agree with that suggestion.
