Please review the WiiM Amp Pro update release notes below. If you encounter any issues, feel free to reach out to us.

5.2.637753 (Latest)

Release date:
12 / 5 / 2024

What's New:
  1. Room Correction with Independent L/R Channels: Fine-tune each audio channel independently for a richer, more immersive sound experience. (Requires app version 3.0.3 or higher)
  2. KKBox Integration: Enjoy seamless streaming with KKBox, now fully supported within the app. (Requires app version 3.0.4 or higher)
  3. LMS Server Selection: Select your preferred LMS (Logitech Media Server) based on IP for more flexibility in playback. (Requires app version 3.0.4 or higher)
  4. Enhanced Alarm Functionality: If your chosen music isn't available, fallback sounds will ensure you never miss your alarm.
  5. Playback Enhancements: Enjoy more accurate metadata, resolved skipping issues, and smoother playback for TuneIn.
  6. Qobuz Queue Enhancements: Experience improved playback with Qobuz, featuring track order retention during shuffle, Replay Gain support, and faster queue performance.
  7. Control 4 Integration: Seamlessly integrate with Control4 systems for enhanced smart home control.
  8. Replay Gain: Added support for TIDAL, Qobuz and Plex (requires app version 3.0.0+).
  9. Auto Timing Alignment: Syncs main speakers and subwoofer automatically for optimal audio timing (requires app version 2.12.2+).

Bug Fixes:
  1. BBC Radio Bitrate Display: Now correctly shows the bitrate for BBC Radio streams.
  2. Offline Responsiveness: Improved performance without internet.
  3. Amazon Music: Resolved playback not resuming after extended pauses.
  4. General Improvements: Various performance enhancements and bug fixes for an overall better experience.

LMS service selection is in a strange place under Voice in device settings - wouldn’t it make more sense for it to be a selectable service on the Music Services list on the Browse page, with its settings page from there?

Edit: ticket submitted

I have 2 questions:

1. I have never wanted replay gain, I have app 3.0.4 but I can’t see how to disable it for tidal, how do I do this?

2. There’s still no fix the volume led going out after a few seconds.

On my Pixel 6, Android OS ver 15 the room correction procedure no longer displays my Dayton Audio USB microphone. In the previous version this behavior would indicate the Wiim app was using the phone's microphone.

As a test I blocked the USB microphone during the room calibration and sure enough it complained that it couldn't pickup the test tones, this would indicate it indeed is using USB microphone. Nonetheless, it would give me more confidence if old behavior would be restored.

Did you perform independent L/R correction? If so, that's what I found.

With stereo correction the the name of the mic is still displayed. I think that WiiM picked this up already.

PS:
It's probably more related to the app version, not the firmware version.

PPS:
In fact, this seems to be fixed in WHA 3.0.4 Android.

It seems I'm a dolt but I can't figure out/find how to do the independent L/R room correction. Any help would be appreciated. Also, where in the app does it show what mic one is using for RC?

You must first turn off the subwoofer setting in the WiiM app.

Next, when you run RC, after the sample audio plays, a dialog will appear to select stereo and L/R. Tap L/R.

Yes, L/R room calibration does not display the USB mic, and you're right Stereo calibration still does. For me 3.04 is still broke.
