WiiM Amp WiFi issues

Curious, have you tried moving the amp to a different spot to see if that improves the wifi signal? I remember some years ago at a different house I had a Squeezebox radio in the kitchen that was having connection problems like you dscribe. It turned out the washing machine and dryer were directly in the path between the radio and router. Moving the router about 2 or 3 feet solved the problem. Since the washer/dryer were in a closet out of sight the "line of sight" pathway wasn't immediately obvious.
Haven't tried as my location for the amp was defined. Powernode plastic box might help on WiFi connectivity indeed I don't know. On that front it has never failed.
WiiM is an incredibly innovative company with awesome value proposition no question. Amp WiFi was just not working in my environment

Hi all,
Just confirming that after returning the WiiM Amp that was just not useable / impossible to get connected to WiFi I eventually replaced my Powernode with an Amp Pro that is working just fine. WiFi connectivity definitely dramatically improved between the non-Pro and the Pro Amp versions

Another possibility is that your first unit was defective. When thousands and thousands of units are running down the production line there are some inevitable mistakes that either make it past quality control checks or have a weak part that is just biding its time till it goes south. Haven't heard any other stories like yours about the WiiM Amp and WiFi.
