Issue with connection between Mac mini 2024 and Wiim Amp

Mac mini M4 (2024) tahoe 26.1, serial number MYQQTYY3V6 doesn't have SPDIF toslink port unfortunately. Only ethernet, HDMI, 3x thunderbolt-4, 2x usb-c, 1x headphone jack. I'm trying soon to find a USBc to SPDIF toslink cable as advised by some of the community here. Thanks anyway.

Usually Macs have optical out through the 3,5mm connector, you need an adapter toshlink-mini toshlink. Not sure of your mini but at least google says 2024 Mac mini has the optical out.
I believe that the 2014 Mac mini was the last to have the optical output.

I have a Cubilux USB C to Toslink Optical adapter, and this certainly works from my Mac Studio.

See the link posted by @Burnside in post #4, the USB C version would be the most suitable for your Mac Mini.

Solution just obtained today by wiim customer service. Ordinary and cheap stereo jack 3.5mm / 2x RCA cable is working fine. The potentiometer needs to be pushed further compared to what is emitted by wi-fi on free-access radio stations from Wiim app (BBC for example). I don't know if Toslink-SPDIF/USB-C connection would work any better in that point of view (...expecting to receive it next week). Moreover, CDs and DVDs played by Apple SuperDrive (USB-C) are also lacking a bit of volume (I mean that maximum power is weaker than wifi BBC from Wiim app). I don't know if a "regular" CD/DVD player connected directly to the Wiim via RCA/RCA cables would improve things.
Anyway, I am already much satisfied by what I get tonight. Better should be extra !
