The Apple TV WiiM Home app is going to be getting more functionality and we'll keep improving it over time, but I think as Burnside suggests, the input is a little too limited to be able to replace a mobile device as a fully functioned controller.
 
Can you add the Artist name on the display.

Also, could the album name be added to Ultra display.

I think the TV:REMOTE app for controlling roon on an Apple TV is a good benchmark. You can do a lot with it, and in 95% of cases do without the phone app (keeping it for settings is Okay, but browsing music through the Apple TV is so nice).
Also there is a bug in the current WiiM Apple TV app: if you adjust the volume via your phone or remote, it does not reflect on the TV app.
Still, I use it daily now !!!
 
Strange — the volume updates correctly in the Apple TV app for me when I change volume with my WiiM remote

it would be nice if we can adjust the volume (of the Ultra) with the volume buttons of the Apple Remote.

installed and tested the 1.002 version on Apple TV 4K 2022. WOW! Whatever you guys have for breakfast, keep having it! It works faultlessly with PRO PLUS as a streamer bridge (no DAC) into HEGEL H590 DAC & AMP all connected on gigabit Ethernet only. (volume control only on HEGEL, fixed volume output on PRO PLUS for bit perfect playback) LG C4 OLED Supra TOSLINK into WiiM, WiiM Supra Toskink into HEGEL DAC.
I can control directly on ATV but also can continue to control Home app on Mac or iOS devices. What a great idea, and without interfering with the data stream/ sound of the streamer/bridge at all. NO sync problems whatsoever, WOW. So happy I choose for the WiiM platform to compliment my Apple ecosystem with some decent audiophile gear to match.
The animated bars could be an option and maybe the app could optionally show resolution of the track etc, mimicking the iOS app. But the essence is there, flawless, minimalistic, not touching the original music and yet giving this massive screen with the cover against nice bokeh. Where will you take us next haha, congrats to the team. Excellent work !

No it isn't but since there is a+/- icon on the app, maybe it's possible to catch the remote volume click and launch the +/- actions.

I would use the Siri remote's voice recognition. Works so very well for other ATV apps like YouTube, Apple Music etc.
