Its just awesomeHi can I ask where you downloaded your WiiM home apk from. Looking at your screenshot you appear to have the tablet version of the app. I’m running what looks like the money version.

Got it from Wiim web. In the downloads section
Ok. I just downloaded it from there also and all still works. Can I ask what version of the app you have. Yours app definitely looks slightly different to mine.

I will have to check on monday. Im out for the weekend. Anyhow it may be due to the Android version. It’s not Android tv os. Its a reworked mobile version for Zidoo (same company that makes Eversolo)

The last bit there is where I come unstuck.. Tried loads for my Samsung TV and none of them work. So it's impossible to complete the setup without the swipe functionality..

I tried sideloading the WiiM app in Google TV before and indeed the current interface turned out a bit clunky without touch input or a cursor.
Seems like an official solution, tailored to the big screen, is on the horizon though. A specific Apple TV version has been teased on the forum already.

I think it works in my device because its not an official Android TV. Its a mobile OS adapted to work as an Android TV. For instance, streaming apps don’t work. Its a device intended for having a local collection of movies with a NAS or a drive attached

Odd. I just looked in the Play Store on my Shield and it says there is no compatible version. Is that where you found it?
No I didn’t get it from the play store for my Shield. I got it from the Aurora store.
Anyway it looks like the official WiiM home app for Tv is coming very soon. It’s already available on the apple TvOS store.

When will it be available in the official play store?
There's no official news about an Android/Google TV version yet. Only a (buggy) beta for Apple TV for now.
The Apple TV app seems to be working perfectly for me. No bugs.
It’s been updated and users are reporting it’s now more stable and working
