Wiim home app is too slow

I use Wiim Pro Plus. Wiim home app waits too much as it starts playing a song or album
I have a WiiM Pro Plus but have never encountered that issue myself using any of my streaming services. If anything it is faster than casting from other apps. Are you referring to a streaming service or your own library? I only use streaming services.

I'm having this problem in Qobuz and tidal

Also, my friend who uses Wiim ultra has the same problem.

Have you tried disabling Preferred DNS Server (Devices > Settings > Network Status)?

It is not the WiiM Home App that is slow. It is just a controller.

The issue is on the WiiM device itself when it access the streaming services. There is a small buffering before starting to play and if there for some reason is a slow/congested network connection this may take additional time.

You will usually see that the first track in a playlist starts slower than the next, in that case.

With my Ultra I have a delay of less than one second on Tidal.

The network problem can be local or with the service provider. Try to investigate the network performance.

Maybe you're right it’s network performance, but I don't have any issue when using tidal connect in the tidal app or using chromecast in the Qobuz app.

I think to remember that this issue has been discussed before in this forum. Need to try to search for it
;)
Could have something to do with the what Tidal service the connection goes to?

As usual, a reboot of router and WiiM could be tried.
