WiiM Home App v3.4.9 Update – Jan 9, 2026

Please review the app update release notes below. If you encounter any issues, feel free to reach out to us.

App Version:
3.4.9

What’s New:

1. Release Notes: Now localized by app language.
2. OOBE (Setup): Added a WPA3-Personal (SAE) timeout alert with guidance to switch Wi-Fi security.

Bug Fixes:

1. YouTube Podcasts: Corrected the playback screen to include backward and forward control buttons.

It may be coincidental, but I seem to no longer be able to play to my Audio Pro A10 (non-WiiM) from the WHA. All ok using Audio Pro's own app. Could something in this app update have affected the compatibility (I recall there was such an issue a few months ago)

After the latest two versions I have issues with the discovery of my WiiMs. They do get found but it may take up to 30 seconds.

Have anybody else noted that?

The release note 3.4.8 say:

[Android] Device Discovery: Improved discovery with multiple devices on the network.

Looks like doing the opposite!

No, it's about six seconds from opening the app to discovering the Ultra, and a couple of seconds more for the vibelink amp.

Ok. Thanks. Before this update mine was discovered within a few seconds and it sometimes still do but most of the time it's much longer.

Not sure why?

I have only tested this three times, so perhaps it may take longer at some point. I will keep an eye on it. 👍

Is your phone's Wi-Fi speed temporarily slow? My Android app detects devices in about 3 seconds. I feel it's gotten a bit faster than before.

No, it's not slow. And it clearly started happening with v. 3.4.8.

Sometimes one of the WiiMs is discovered immediately, while it takes long time before the other one is found.

Not a big issue, just a bit annoying.

Okay, just for info I was counting from when I pressed the app to discovery.
I don't have fast WiFi.

That is ok.

Now the change made in v. 3.4.8 was for discovery of multiple devices, not when there is only s single one.

I have tried to turn my Pro Plus off and I have not found any issues then.

Also if the devices are active, I have not yet seen the delay.

After trying everything I can think of to get this working again, I've logged an incident (553313) to find out if it is something related to the app update.
If any other Audio Pro users are reading, would be useful to know if they've started experiencing this prob.

Also I noticed my app is 3.4.10 dated 12th Jan, whereas the thread states 3.4.9, so seems there has been a further update.

Do you think WiiM will / should care?
AP are the competition. I‘d say that it was only by coincidence that it worked previously.
Now that WiiM has entered the market with their own compact models this was to be expected.

They removed support for previously supported Audio Pro devices recently then restored it. It would be strange to remove it again. Remember the W in the Audio Pro W series definitely does NOT mean WiiM 🤣

It is my concern that they say thet don't offer any guarantee of other devices being compatible. However, as per Slart, there was a recent issue where they removed some compatibility seemingly in error then promptly restored it. I'm hoping this, if it is related to the app update, has also been an error that they will rectify.
It would be a shame if I had to start using multiple apps to control the devices (or moved away from WHA to another app that does it all.)

I understand your concern and I can neither look behind the eyes of WiiM product management nor those of Linkplay‘s stratagy departement.
If I already had a AP W-device I would sit and hope. But I‘d never buy a new AP expecting it to be supported eternally by WiiM software.
