WiiM Pro Firmware v4.8.709965 Update - Mar 6, 2025

So far it seems to me that it depends on the idle time. If I don't look at the app for, say, 20-30 minutes, I get a black image regardless.
That indicates very aggressive power saving settings enforced by Asus. You might want to try the steps shown here:

Thanks, these functions are simpler for me, but I checked, everything is turned off.

Same problem on Google Pixel 6A (Android 15)...
And probably same solution. :)

Phone makers often whitelist certain apps (like e.g. WhatsApp) from their power management settings, but not the lesser known apps. Unfortunately, this is not always transparent.

Not sure about that since no battery saver is active on my phone. This "issue" came up with one of the latest updates btw (no such problem before)

Hi Gerry_Tang,

Apologies for the inconvenience!

Our Android engineers are aware of this issue and are actively working on a fix, which will be included in the next update.

Android has built-in battery management. It's nothing you would install as a 3rd party app.

If WiiM can work around this issue happening on some phones, that's even better.
