There used to be an annoying beep whenever a Bluetooth device connected while you were listening via another input but that was fixed quite a while ago. I just remembered that there is a beep when the amp completes booting when on WiFi but I haven't heard that since changing to ethernet 😃
So maybe this option is really intended for those missing the good old times connection confirmation concert? ;)

I'd say you've been very lucky then.
Forgive my ignorance, but are you saying I don't need to force close the app to fully implement the latest Pro Plus firmware? It all seems to be working as it was before the update so I don't really want to do anything. Additionally, my research on force stops or closures suggests that doing so may not be ideal. Again, please forgive my lack of understanding.

No, no, I really just literally meant to say that you've been very lucky if you never had to force close any app to make it function properly.

This was not directly related to the WiiM Home app or any specific WiiM hardware or even more specific any firmware version.

:)

And another improvement: clearing the queue now works properly. As a workaround, I'd been switching to a different input and then back, but this is easier.

My WiiM Pro Plus still doesn't have the update. I live in Europe. Has anyone in that area received it yet?

I live in Poland.
Could the problem be due to the beta version I installed?
But I have to add that the beta version number is lower than the latest official version.
You will need to uninstall the beta and switch to latest version.
