Feels like a copy / paste of a set of fixes applied across the ranger rather than being specific to each model.

At least I don't notice any copy/paste errors like mentioning USB or sub out, so as long as the features and bug fixes really are a copy of the other devices, it's all fine with me. :)

Is it actually impossible to set analog RCA as sub out? And let highpassed signal to digital outs

Only because the first post was edited 🤣

It is actually not possible as WiiM devices only allow one main output at a time.
It would be real convenience for me if optical could at least be included with other outputs at the same time--so for example, if I could select Line Out and Optical, I would never have to select output again for any situation I have. It would be a nice-to-have.

Hello! I still have a problem with the Android app, that if it is not touched for a while, it crashes, goes to a black screen, everything disappears (even if it stays on the geq tab), and I have to restart it, then navigate to the right places in it again. One note: I would like to see a geq/peq ON/OFF button on the player tab under the album cover. It would be easier to turn it on and off. Commendation: cooperation with the Tidal app has become significantly better. Have a nice day, keep it up :)

It doesn't happen on my phone, so it could be a possible problem with your phone. (RAM capacity, etc...).

Just FYI, what is your phone model and Android version?

Az én telefonomon nem fordul elő, így lehet, hogy a telefonjával van probléma. (RAM kapacitás, stb...).

Csak tájékoztatás, mi a telefonmodell és az Android verzió?

Personally I wouldn't want too much clutter on the player tab. The EQ off toggle is just two taps away: 3-dots-menue > EQ. That's perfectly fine with me.

This was a flagship model 5 years ago and you would expect it to still work reasonable well. Probably no updates form Asus any more.

I have been using the WiiM Home app on different (typically lower cost) phones from Xiaomi, Poco, Sony and Samsung and like @Wiimer I never came across the problems you describe. I'm sure you have tried deleting and reinstalling the app and rebooting your phone, already.

In any case, such behaviour is pretty much sure not firmware related.

I would have guessed exactly these answers.... I take different aspects into account, but we are not the same. nice day :)

I believe your phone's RAM is sufficient, but it might help if you periodically clear the cache of the WiiM home app or delete background apps on the app history screen.

I checked on my old Huawei Nova lite 2 (Android 9) and found that the app screen sometimes goes black, just like yours.

So far it seems to me that it depends on the idle time. If I don't look at the app for, say, 20-30 minutes, I get a black image regardless.
