Wiim pro..Noise on the line out

I have a Wiim pro and the USB power brick(non wiim) expired overnight, the usb cable end was a bit blackened, i swapped out the cable and USB power brick and it still works, i ha e tried the optical out and it works as it should but the line out is hery noisy and a constant high level hum, is there anything i can do?

What voltage was the power adapter you were using? Was it a smartphone charger?

If you were using a power adapter with a voltage higher than 5V, that might have caused the malfunction. What kind of power adapter are you currently using?

Yes it was a phone charger adapter, lesson learned, at the moment I’m using an Amazon adapter and seems ok.
Is there anything I can do about the noise or just have to accept it?

Is the Amazon adapter for a Fire TV or something similar? Please make sure it outputs 5V and at least 2A.

Try another power supply. The noise may be coming from the power brick.

Its 5.2v and 1.8a, so im guessing no good?

I just picked up the cheap-but-excellent Fosi Q6 DAC - It lists for US$85 and I got 20% off that. It has USB, Coax and Optical inputs and I'm using the optical connection to a WiiM mini. With my WiiM Pro, I would use the Coax connection to the DAC... but in your noisy Pro case, perhaps the optical connection would be less likely to conduct the noise.
