What's New:
  1. Alarms: Custom labels and up to 32 alarms.
  2. Squeezelite: Disabled by default; enable in Device Settings in the WiiM Home app.
  3. 12V Trigger: Status now shown in the app; supports a one time on/off toggle from the app.
  4. TuneIn: Faster start when playing Apple Music stations.
  5. Multi-room: Improved multicast logic for more reliable discovery/connectivity; reduced stutter when using Bluetooth input.

Bug Fixes:
  1. Playback:
    • Corrected playback state display in certain cases.
    • Fixes for TuneIn Radio and certain FLAC files.
  2. Sub Output: Fixed missing bass when the wireless WiiM Sub Pro was disconnected.
  3. Qobuz Connect:
    • Resolved a blocking issue that prevented playback.
    • Fixed a crash that could occur after seeking.
  4. Spotify: Fixed failures to play from the Spotify app’s Recommended lists and Recently Played; also fixed presets that would not start playback.
  5. Amazon Music: Fixed occasional track skips after seeking and a progress bar desync (bar reached the end while audio continued).
  6. Multi-room: After ungrouping, metadata no longer syncs to previously grouped (child) speakers.
  7. Gapless Player: Fixed a near track end race condition that could trigger overlapping/simultaneous playback.
  8. Local Files: Fixed an issue where the app progress bar reached the end before playback finished.
  9. TuneIn: Now consistently selects the highest available stream quality.
  10. Amazon Music: Fixed unexpected stops when using Amazon Music Cast.

Just curious, why the need to disable LMS by default? It has never interfered with my using the WiiM or Qobuz Connect apps. I do understand that it is still available, but am just interested in the reason behind the change. And, BTW, it has been Lyrion Music Server for some time now. Logitech dropped their support some time ago.

It isn't LMS or even Lyrion Music Server... It's a version of Squeezelite, a LMS compatible player. 😊🎶

I understand the difference -- I run the LMS (server) on a separate RPi and have the Squeezelite option turned on for all my WiiM players plus another RPi/PcP player. It was the above post from WiiM that referred to LMS -- its not unusual for people to use the LMS/Squeezelite terms interchangeably.

Don’t know but perhaps some people like the ability to disable a feature they don’t use - similar was implemented for Roon recently and there was even a request a while back to turn off DLNA player support…🤷‍♂️
