Wiim Pro Plus initial hum and then hissing in every Power Outlet in one room - Other devices (Wiim Pro) don`t do that at all

Hello,

My Setup is:
Wiim Pro Plus an d 2x Yamaha LSR 305

I wanted to switch from Wiim Pro to Wiim Pro Plus. When I connected the new device to the same setting like the Wiim Pro there was initially a hum on both monitor Speakers sometimes interupted during the starting. So I switched back to Wiim Pro which had no problems at all. After a Re-Installation of the Pro Plus there was a little bit more than sporadically hissing in the speakers - not too loud but really annoying.

After some examinations I noticed this phenomen was only happening in every Power Outlet of this special room. Power outlets in other rooms had no problem.

So my question:
Is this a problem of the Wiim Pro Plus, because other devices like for example the Wiim Pro have no problem in the identic setting.

Or is it a problem with my electrical installation which I can`t believe, because no other Problems in this direction.
Excuse me because I am not a native english speaker

I hope you can understand my problem and maybe you have an idea

BR

Did you use the identical wall wart power supply that came with the WiiM Pro Plus in every instance? In other words, can you rule out any dependency with the PSU in use?

It could still be that only certain combinations are affected.

Hi Harkpabst,
Thank you for your reply. I tried both PSU (WiiM Pro and Pro Plus) - always the same. I used different Powerstrips and Loudspeaker cables.

Bummer, that would have been too easy.

I wonder what might have changed between these two attempts. Hissing is surely different from humming, so something must have changed (even if it's not obvious right now).

Yamaha LSR 305
I cannot find a product of that name. Either Yamaha HS5 or JBL LSR 305 are the most common search results. Do you own either one?

Me too, I have no idea. Maybe a defect of the WiiM Pro Plus???

Oh sorry. You are right, JBL LSR 305.

Best Regards
