WiiM Pro/Pro+ to integrate a powered sub

It appears that there has been a little talk about this, but I wanted to echo it here.
It seems like only some software/firmware changes to allow a WiiM Pro/Pro+/Mini to act as an integrated controller for a powered subwoofer. I utilize my WiiM system for whole-house audio, and my main-floor currently benefits from a little in-wall subwoofer to help fill out the low end supplementing an array of in-ceiling speakers. The in-wall sub is problematic and limited for a variety of reasons, and if I could utilize another WiiM controller in a way that provided seamless integration and effective eq of a powered sub with the Pro Plus that runs my in-ceiling arrays, I would definitely do so.
Fundamental features would include:

- Persistent and seamless grouping with the WiiM device feeding the full range speakers.
- Synchronization, phase adjustment, level-matching, crossover, and effective bass eq.

Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

One potential issue is that grouping WiiM devices constrains them all to 24/48 playback

Hi-res multiroom/groups are definitely desirably, but what would be the issue if we had this support without hi-res groups? Seems like lack of a feature we don’t have anyway should hold up supporting separate mains and subs in a group with associated filtering.

I’m not saying it would hold back anything, merely pointing out that currently such a distributed setup wouldn’t support more than 24/48 which may not suit some users :)
