Hi. I'm currently using the Wiim Ultra and the Wiim Sub Pro together. I'm an Android user and currently use Power Amp (mp3), YouTube Music, Tidal, and Melon (a Korean streaming app). After using various music players, I noticed that the Wiim Sub Pro doesn't work at all when streaming via Chromecast with YouTube Music or Power Amp. Tidal works fine. Melon allows me to choose between Chromecast streaming and DNLA, but when I select Chromecast streaming, the Sub Pro doesn't work. When I run YouTube Music within the Wiim Home app, the Sub Pro works fine. When I play MP3s stored on my smartphone within the Wiim Home app, the Sub Pro also works fine. All experiments were performed with the same song. It appears to be a problem with Chromecast streaming. Does anyone have the same problem as me?

Regarding Deezer, try using it from with the WiiM Home App for testing purposes. There was a feature called Deezer Connect, but it has reached "End of Life", leaving Googlecast and Bluetooth as the only remaining options casting from the native Android app. If you did use the native Deezer app but not Bluetooth, then this is the Googlecast restriction we're talking about.
Deezer Connect was never relevant for WiiM use as all it did was act as a remote control for another instance of the Deezer app which of course couldn’t run on WiiM gear.

I have returned/refunded the Wiim Sub Pro. It's really a mess, not worth the money because it's not a finished product. Wireless, cromcast, room fit/eq.. not working properly and when it's working the sub sound is not promising. Proper floorstands for stereo, Zero problems, better bass, better music. My 2 cent.

I'm really happy with mine, and everything I need is working very well, and it also sounds excellent.

Since this is your first post about the Sub Pro we don't know about the problems you had with it.

I ended up switching out my setup and brought my Ultra into my living room (which I didn't really want to do) and wired the sub pro so I can use it without limitations. Now that I've done it, I'm completely satisfied with the setup. The sound of the sub pro after the first day or so and getting my settings dialed in (thanks to help from this forum) has sounded great.

This forum is amazing - you guys are amazing! Thanks for all the replies. Indeed, I was wrong. The sub is only not working with Google cast. Is this normal? Where can I read more and when is this supposed to be fixed.

It’s mentioned at the bottom of the setup support page for the sub pro : https://faq.wiimhome.com/en/support/solutions/articles/72000645555-how-to-set-up-your-wiim-sub-pro

As said there, and I’m sure has been repeated by WiiM in the forum, they’re actively working to remove those restrictions.

Edit: if you haven’t already, raise a ticket directly to WiiM via the more feedback section in the WiiM app asking for the fix timescales
