Wiim ultra connections

Good afternoon, greetings to all forum members. This is my first post, I thank you in advance for your help.

Besides my stereo sound system, I have a Yamaha YSP5600 soundbar with an SVS SB2000 PRO. I recently bought the Wiim Ultra Streamer and I want to take advantage of the room correction available in the Wiim App.

I will connect it as follows:

TV HDMI eARC > Wiim HDMI ARC > Wiim Optical Out > YSP5600

Is this the best option?

I use the UMik with rew and manually transfer the results to the SVS app, but I want to try Roomfit and compare the results.

The SVS app only corrects for the sub. It won't correct for your speakers' portion of the bass output. The WiiM will.

Yes, it is possible on many TVs. However, it may not work on some (older) models.

As far as I'm aware, although I don't use this feature, I use the WiiM remote control for volume.

TV Remote for Volume Control is a function of HDMI CEC (which is the most problematic aspect of HDMI ARC connectivity). It will require some Trial&Error as both the TV and WiiM CEC components must communicate (and AGREE) for smooth working of controls like Volume.

Depends on the TV, but I'll tell you I have no problems with anybody involved with my setup (Sharp Aquos TV) and controlling volume with the Apple TV 4K remote; however, it controls volume one step at a time whereas I have the WiiM remote set to do two steps per press.

It do but only for the TV sound via the WiiM.
