If you choose the orange version of the spectrum display you can image you have a fire burning. Cosy but otherwise useless playstuff I wouldn’t spend a penny on if I had to buy it. I find it quite a waste of resources, especially on the development and implementation side.🙄

Yes, other UI tweaks/customisation/themes would be very welcome as well.
And I'll say it again: a full-size artwork playback screen with black borders please
I guess you like to play old movies (4:3) on a 16:9 screen too? Don't need no black borders myself (faded borders is perfect). I suggest putting some black tape over the sides of your screen if it bothers you that much ;-).

Weird comparison because a 16:9 TV wouldn't add the fade effect or a random solid color (poorly matched) when watching 4:3 content, right?

All other "now playing" screens with extra track info and most of the menu's use a black background as well. Just adding this simple option would make it more coherent with the rest of the GUI.

PS: ran out of tape unfortunately.

100% agree ... first get the fundamentals right. Layout, translations, behavior on functions, DSD-Support and other stuff. I´m happy for the people that they got their fancy moving bars. Now go to the really important basic stuff.

It looks good, I like it more than the VU meter, based on a video I've seen. The big drawback for me though, is the fact that you can't specify to use it only for specific inputs.

I would love to have the meters for my analog & digital audio inputs only - when there's no track info or artwork to be shown. And of course I don't need the distraction of a VU meter jumping around while watching TV either.

Ok, I have just received the update. Looks very nice indeed! Seems like the spectrum visualizer works post-volume though. I hope they'll add the option to make it read the original signal instead, like we had with the VU meter because my normal listening level sits around 25-35.

And no, I'm not going to change the line-out output voltage setting because then the increments with the TV's remote become way to small :)

I definitely like it better than the VU meters. I’ll bet they could make them more visually appealing and could get people here to post cool examples for free.
