Silly question... Shouldn't the wifi network latency be considered as an added delay/timing factor to manage also?
And what if network latency changes?
The defined corrective value for the listening point is anyway written within the Ultra's DSP without further need to be checked?
Are you talking about using a WiiM Sub linked over WiFi?

Because WiFi does not affect the sync between speakers attached to the WiiM’s analog or digital outputs, nor does WiFi affect the sync with a sub attached to the subwoofer output. Any DSP that is built into the sub, or that might sit between the WiiM and the speakers/amps can induce additional delay (such as a miniDSP applying DIRAC Live).

Hello,
I know firmware updates come in waves. Has anyone been able to test this one already? In particular:
-HDMI behavior
-Subwoofer/Speakers sync: external mic instead of wiim's mic

I am having very weird results when using this Subwoofer sync in the previous official Ultra firmware (5.2.899035, feb 28th) and wiim home app 3.5.5. I get sometimes speakers ahead of sub 4ms and sometimes viceversa 4ms too...and even sometimes I get large delay for both and subwoofer ahead by 14ms see screenshots. So I am very interested wether the new firmware makes this feature work more consistently with external mic.

I couldn't even run normally this sync when using external DAC and USB connection. It's not working for me from the very beginning.

There are three steps of automatic Subwoofer & Speakers Sync, right?

The first: a short high note from main speakers - indicating the test is gonna to happen in a second.

The second: pink noise from the main speakers + subwoofer making the sound together with speakers - here the subwoofer is playing with proper volume level!

The third: short beep, only from subwoofer - this "beep" is very, very quiet. Almost non-existing, even with very high volume levels on the sub and in the wiim app.

And because of this last step I cannot finish the correction - get an error message. My Wiim Ultra doesn't hear my sub at the end.

I hope it will be fixed
