This is some issue related to a cloud migration, it probably propagates differently depending on your location.
Correct. Resolution is mentioned because it seems to happen with a few Qobuz hires tracks. Not a general hires playing issue, but one on some Qobuz hires tracks.I honestly think it is a Qobuz issue period, nothing to do with resolution. A friend has Spotify high res and comes over and streams on my system and wiim ultra, has not had one hiccup yet, works flawlessly.
I didn't say high resolution, I said resolution. Specific resolutions for specific songs seem to not be there when using connect.I dont believe it is. So then what do you set it to when it refuses to play CD quality songs? It also refuses to play some of those as well.
Holly Cole temptation album, refused to play track 7 and 8, all CD 16/44 resolution.
I am not using connect, just the wiim app. So if a 16/44 resolution does not play, what do you set the resolution to? As far as I know there is no cassette tape resolution setting.I didn't say high resolution, I said resolution. Specific resolutions for specific songs seem to not be there when using connect.
What’s your geographical Qobuz server source?Just a note here, the songs that were causing me grief and not playing now seem to be playing fine. I made no changes to the resolution settings or anything else so the problem was obviously not on my end.
I have also noticed fewer problems today, so it seems Qobuz is finally getting a handle on the issue.Just a note here, the songs that were causing me grief and not playing now seem to be playing fine. Bell/mts service in Manitoba Canada. What’s your geographical Qobuz server source?
How could WiiM have done that without updating your devices firmware and/or the WiiM Home App? I think they could not.Just a note here, the songs that were causing me grief and not playing now seem to be playing fine. When I configure the Qobuz app on the Wii Ultra to CD quality, the files play without any problems; the same is true for Qobuz Connect. Admittedly, you lose the high-resolution audio quality, but CD resolution is more than sufficient while we wait for the issue to be resolved.
