The room EQ in my av processor (Tonewinner AT-300) is lousy (boosts +12) the room EQ in the Wiim is much better, with more adjustability.

So instead of using the Tonewinner EQ I've copied what the Wiim app PEQ has calculated into the AT-300 EQ preset- so for every "movie" source it will use PEQ. For Wiim Ultra source, I have disabled the Tonewinner EQ as I wouldn't want to sets of EQ (plus I also use the Wiim PEQ to select which set of speakers I use)

so I've imported these

I guess I could go through "pair" of speakers, front height, rear height, side, surrounds, front weight, etc. I presume I'd have to use a multi channel preset to duplicate the signal to the speaker I'm testing

Why is it still applying boosts even though I have set to cut only and set max gain to 0.5db?
See here:

There's no overall boost.

I don't see no 5 dB boost in your screenshots. There is positive gain, but no absolute boost (above maybe 0.5 dB).

Which is absolutely fine for some cases. Not all dips in the frequency response are due to cancellation, where positive gain is useless and thus to be avoided.

The real news is that this new setting obviously helps in safely avoiding digital clipping.

It should respect the maximum positive gain though. Although it often used to four 0.5dB filters to obtain 2dB 😂
