Sell me a Wiim Ultra

Per speaker EQ is available for the Ultra but not with a subwoofer yet. The main reason I bought the WiiM Amp was for bass management and then Room Correction came along as an added bonus.

I wouldn't be using the wiim sub out, it will be subwoofer out into a av pre amp. The AV pre amp digitises analogue inputs so I wouldn't use analogue out from the Wiim.

Unless I get another wiim pro plus/ultra for the other room which uses a stereo analogue pre amp

Got it, but if you are looking to simplify then using only wiim would suffice.
IF going the other route, the using Roon would be even better to get a really nice front end and music sorting for local files.

As he was asking why switch I thought he wasn't satisfied with current setup.

it seems more like you have decided you do not need a Wiim ultra and want us to change your mind? 😉

Your setup seems good and is working fine, so perhaps you could say what you are lacking currently instead and we could give you tips/suggestions?

Love the sub out on my. My tube amp doesn’t have one. Added a sub to go with my Wharfdales. Can’t imagine using anything other than WiiM. Amazing product
 
I'll move the sb touch from the cinema room . The EQ preset will be handy for the two speaker pairs

A warranty. Manufacturer support.
 
Wiim arrived seems decent.

I'd like track info to be displayed on the screen not just album art. Using lms
 
Ah right got it. One thing that would be great if can choose the music by front panel like the sb touch
 
I had a Squeezebox Touch and a Yamaha WXC-50.
Now I have a Wiim Ultra.
Minus one box. Better ADC and DAC. Direct LMS input control from iPeng, and overall fewer «seams» in my setup.
There are however some app and remote features that I hope Wiim will learn and implement from both Yamaha and Lyrion.

Edit: I had a tldr moment so didn’t reach the end before posting. Congrats on your Ultra!
 
Done a couple of quick EQ responses with my two sets of speakers

One pair is celestion Compact the other A3. A3 are set to full range . Compact going though outlaw icm-1 with outlaw sub trim reduce sub volume as possible and crossover set to 80hz

Will need to think and alter crossover so it doesn't correct below speakers f3

Brother bought a Ultra also, the phone to Wiim BT is useful, as would laptop to Wiim BT, plus playing from USB stick/HDD and build database- so no need for a dedicated server, ie NAS or pi etc.

You can also use the Bluetooth output from a laptop with REW for room correction. Although I normally save the sweep files and play them from LMS.

I would send audio over HDMI directly, done that in the past- rather than deal with BT for things like that.
