I am setting up my WiiM ultra. I have two speakers to which I want to connect via 3.5mm to RCA ports on WiiM. I thought there would a pair of output ports but there is only one. The other is labelled in. How do I connect two speakers? I figure best bet is a Y spitter.
If need be I could do one optical out and one RCA but that seems …. Kludge. 😂 Thoughts? Thanks very much!

Two active speakers that are a pair? Or two that are completely unrelated to each other?
Maybe speaker model will help.
You can't use optical and analog out at the same time.

devialet phantom II 😉

@Pcryan5,

Is the Devialet speaker input terminal a combo input of Optical mini-jack and RCA stereo jack?

If so, you probably need two "Pin plug to Mini-jack" conversion cables.

One cable is connected to the L of the Ultra Line-out and to Devialet A on one end. The other is connected to R on the Ultra Line-out and to Devialet B.

This is one example of how to connect two Devialet units for stereo playback.

Hi @Wiimer

That is correct devialet phantom. Yes the input is Optical mini-jack and RCA stereo jack.
Sorry to be a real bore - but do you know what brand or model of cables would be “"Pin plug to Mini-jack" conversion cables” I googled - checked amazon etc and well still am stumped. Big thanks.

Quality is unknown. For example.

This one is an adaptor that can be connected to a 3.5 mm jack cable.

If your Devialet can split the stereo signal from the optical into L/R and distribute it to two speakers (it probably can, but check the manual), you can also use an optical distributor and conversion cable. Possibly, the sound could be better this way.

Thanks mate - sounds like I need two ultras to run two speakers then as there is only one red/black out put.

I don't think so.

Do you want to use two Devialet speakers for stereo playback?
Or do the two speakers each need to output in stereo?

In the former case, connect the Ultra's L terminal to the minijack terminal of Speaker A and the R terminal to Speaker B as described above.

In the latter case, you can try connecting via optical (or 2RCA to 2 mini jack cable).
