The reason iOS is more secure than Android is because it's a well controlled sandboxed app environment. In Europe Apple was forced to open that sandbox and they did. They know their sandbox better than anyone else and decided to block some of their features (apparently screen mirroring*) that they know would further open malware attacks.
A sandboxed system has pros and cons of course, but the consumer should be the one to decide that balance. Still not politics... but why do Europeans need a Brussels nanny to protect them? They should be free to choose between Android and iOS and others and make their own decisions. Freedom favors consumers, the opposite restricts them.
* - Screen mirroring can indeed be a malware pathway in an open system, as it is a channel between 2 devices.
