airable radio streaming integrator

Agree, I have it on my Linn MDSM/4 - I think they started using it when Tunein went belly up in the UK with respect to non-UK stations.

Lyngdorf swapped out meager vTuner in favour or airable and that's not been a small improvement.

Forgot to mention it, but I upvoted this request, of course. :)

Hmmm… back a couple years ago, when I was messing around with the WiiM XML interface, I seem to remember Airable as the API that WiiM IS using, at least for Tidal, possibly others. Of course, that may have changed since I was last poking around…

Can you kindly refresh my memory on that? Thanks!
If WiiM Radio was a radio aggregator by all means do that with airable.
Not a lot of info, just questions about it having appeared in a previous version of the Ultra roadmap viz.

Went back and looked at my old code. It's actually Deezer that WiiM was (is?) using the airable API for. WiiM uses Tidal's and Qobuz's native APIs. So, they do indeed have experience with airable's API, and I would guess have some airable libs installed on their devices.

I haven't tried my Deezer code in a very long time, no idea whether WiiM is still using the airable API for it.

However, It's a pretty safe bet that airable charges for each connection type, which may keep WiiM from using it with providers other than Deezer.

That makes a statement they made in the Deezer thread a bit more clear when they said they'd have to liaise with their "api provider"...
