I searched but couldn't find an answer, so I'll just ask...

I used my TV for the first time in a couple of years last night after setting up the Ultra. I wanted to try out the ARC. I listen to music far more than I watch TV, obviously.

Before the Ultra, I used this Xiaomi (1st Gen) by HDMI into the TV and an optical into a prior streamer that didn't have HRC. Worked great, sounded great.

Now with the Ultra, I use the ARC on the TV, and that's it. I can cast YouTube to the box, and it plays and sounds great through Salk speakers. However, I now have to disconnect and reconnect every time I want to cast a video. I'm wondering what causes this. I rebooted the MI Box a few times with no results.

Could it be from using an older HDMI? Maybe the MI box is outdated? They're only 70 bucks for the new one, so I might just get that. However, the new ones don't have an optical out, but with ARC, it's irrelevant, I suppose.

Any feedback is appreciated

Are you experiencing issues with casting connections from your phone to the MI Box?

If so, it's likely unrelated to the WiiM. Please check whether the same issue occurs after disconnecting the WiiM from your TV.

If the issue lies with the MI Box, I think it would be worthwhile attempting a factory reset on the MI Box.
