Anyone using their WiiM ultra with a Sonos Arc (home theater setup) to play music?

Is there a post already discussing this topic that I cant find or is this not possible? I'm interested in connecting an Ultra to my existing Arc home theater setup to play music.

Do you already have an Ultra? The DLNA cast feature in the latest firmware release might be able to send audio to the Arc, but currently CD quality at best.

I was wondering about a wired connection somehow. Maybe using HDMI from the TV (ARC) or something. Im still doing research as I type this and my new Ultra is updating the firmware now.

Okay, just tried the DLNA cast and it worked but I'll have to do some more fiddling to see how it works with the rest of my speakers, etc...

I think that may be your only option as I couldn’t see any compatible physical connections - the hdmi arc connections on both units are input only from a tv so couldn’t be connected to each other.

I cast (from another program) to a single Sonos speaker and then use the Sonos app to group speakers. That allows the Sonos syncing protocol to keep all the Sonos speakers in sync.

Yeah i'm looking forward to playing around more with this later today.

My issue is that I'm really trying to include the Sonos Arc, (which is an Arc, 2 ones as rears and 2 subs) within my music listening group of speakers throughout my home but I keep running into issues.

Or I'll have to add another compatible speaker to this room and deal with it... It just seems like a waste to me using the Arc system for watching movies only, while it's not that great for music it's fine at low volume for background music throughout the house which is my goal.
