Ongoing Beta Beta Test: Qobuz Connect

Were you already on the general Qobuz beta program at the Play Store, by any chance? That link always took me to the wrong app until I removed myself from the general beta, then deleted data and cache before uninstalling the app, after which the link let me install the proper Qconnect beta app.
No, this is my first foray into a Qobuz beta. I’ll try deleting the cache etc before uninstalling and see if that cracks it. Thanks

Maybe a question for @RyanWithWiim.

The latest WiiM Home App includes an interface to join the beta program(s) for WiiM hardware devices. If new generic beta firmware is released, will joining this remove the Qobuz Connect functionality we Qconnect beta testers currently have, or not.
I believe Burnside is correct as well, but I'm asking my team to confirm that. I'll let you know what I hear.

Someone on the Qobuz Club forum for the Qconnect beta reported that the "add to play queue" function isn't working correctly with his WiiM Pro as the endpoint. I could not reproduce his issue with a practically identical setup (Android/WiiM). Would be helpful if others could try that out on a variety of controller clients (iOS/Android/Mac/Windows) to get additional data points.

So today I updated my WiiM pro plus to the latest firmware version, with the possibility to join beta programs. I joined the Connect beta , the WiiM was updated 4.8.639532(beta). Qobuz app connect beta Version : 8.99.0 (250113105699)
This is the screen I get when I try to out of the Qobuz app try to connect the WiiM .So still not working

If that's an Android device, I believe you don't have the correct app version installed. The version that should show up under Settings-Help/Contact is "qconnect-beta03".

Assuming Qobuz whitelisted your account for the Qconnect beta and sent you a link for that beta app, and that they whitelisted your WiiM, if you had previously set yourself up as a beta tester for the Qobuz app in the Play Store, you need to remove yourself from that, then in Android Settings/Apps, delete the data and cache for the installed Qobuz app, and then uninstall the app. Might be worth restarting your device, and then using the link that Qobuz emailed you to install the Qconnect beta app. Afterwards, check the version to make sure it's correct. And you should make sure your controller(s) -- devices where the desktop and/or mobile app is installed -- and renderers -- target endpoints, e.g. WiiM devices -- are on the same subnet/VLAN and WiFi frequency.

If all that still doesn't fix things, would suggest you email the beta support team at connectbeta@qobuz.com.

I have received the email from Wiim confirming that my device is in the beta program and I have the Qobuz beta app, but I still don't see my Wiim Ultra in Qobuz.
Wiim Ultra firmware is: 5.2.705360 (beta) (I've also tried the stable firmware, but it doesn't work either)
Qobuz iOS app version: 8.99.0 b250113105699

Anything I'm doing wrong?

That’s not the Qobuz beta firmware. Go into device info in the WiiM home app for your ultra, and select Join Beta Testing and choose the Qobuz Connect beta. You’re using the beta for the display of recently played items on the ultra touchscreen. Betas are not cumulative, they’re independent so just because that beta has a later version number, it doesn’t mean it has the beta code for different programmes.

That was it. :)
Thanks a lot for your help.

Any progress if it’s close of being release on general public?
JMO, even though the scope of the functionality is quite good, and most things are working pretty well, there are still a few items that need to be fixed before it would be possible to make any kind of realistic prediction. When Qobuz takes care of those, they could be on the home stretch to GA.

I’ve had a lot of problems connecting to my pro plus as detailed here and on qobuz club. Its connecting properly very very occasionally. I would try every evening when i got home. I turn everything off when i got to work as i dont like leaving things on. Since Saturday the pro plus isn’t even showing up as a target and as far as i remember i hadn't changed any settings on my router, iphone 12 mini or pro plus so i don’t understand. I can see it as a device on airplay.

I launched spotify and it connected and played without issue. I’m not technically inclined when it comes to networking but as far as i can see on my router (rt-ax57) it’s on the same band and subnet. There is no mesh network. I’ve set static ips on my phone and pro plus, set a fixed privacy address and tried disabling completely. I’m completely stumped. I seen to have gone backwards

I have two wiim tickets in the queue so not sure if there’s any point submitting more. I don’t know if it’s on wiim or qobuz end. I’ll keep going in the hope it gets sorted

Qobuz connect hasn't worked for me since yesterday either. There are a few other users reporting the same problem on the beta test forum. Everything was working fine before and I haven't changed any network settings since the beta began.

On WiiM not working at all. On Marantz working fine.

Qobuz connect started working again for me a couple of hours ago but I forgot to reply on here... I changed no network settings so I'm pretty convinced it was an issue at Qobuz's end.

Hello, i have this message when i choose wiim ultra. Do you have a solution to this problem ? Thanks
