Ongoing Beta Beta Test: Qobuz Connect

Do your iOS and Mac apps see each other as QC endpoints?
My iPhone and iPad see each other as well as the WiiM Ultra. My Mac is not seeing anything but itself and Microsoft Teams Audio. They're all on the same eero mesh, so it's not an issue of the laptop connecting to the cable router's wifi instead.

And the Windows Qobuz app updated to support Qobuz Connect. Qobuz Connect available to my Wiim Pro and three HEOS devices. Currently, streaming 24bit 192KHz to a group of three HEOS devices.
Nice to hear. Do I understand it correctly, that there is no need for the beta firmware on the Wiim Pro any more, the standard 4.8.714841 version support QC?

The GA Ultra firmware update from April 29th added QC functionality. Or possibly the one before that. In any event, most WiiM stock firmware now supports Qobuz Connect -- just not on the Mini of course, but also not on at least a couple of other devices.

is there any benefit of staying on the beta fw on the WiiM devices?
will it still receive updates with qc already available using the release fw?
i haven't switched back to the release fw on my Pro Plus yet

Someone at Qobuz Club noticed that v9.0.0.0 removed the ability to prevent streaming over mobile and/or WiFi data channels, which will be a serious problem for some folks. If that will impact you, I'd suggest you stay on the beta app as long as you can, with the risk that it may just stop working at some point. I'm hoping Qobuz will remediate that issue ASAP.

I don't know to what extent interoperability will be affected by beta vs. release firmware on WiiM devices.

that is not a use case for me and i've already updated to v9.0.0.0.
as someone who only streams qobuz and uses qc, i was more thinking of..as long as the beta program doesn't end, why switch to the release fw on my Pro Plus?
unless the release fw brings the usual (quality or performance improvements and/or bugfixes) over the beta fw, i might as well stay on the beta fw
