Browsing and organizing USB media library is very tedious

That's very interesting. I had no idea. So you're playing through the WiiM device's Wi-Fi then? I will have to give all that a look. I'm running a DLNA server on a Raspberry Pi.

Meanwhile, yes, anybody with a brain has an Android phone. You can do almost anything with one. Glad you have Android too. I have a Pixel.

Thanks for all the information!

I use a pi5 running picoreplayer, it's fanatastic server and music management system.

The onyl reason I bought a Wiim, if it didn't support LMS I'd have bought another streamer

Given you're on Android you should take a look at Symfonium.

It supports a wide range of servers and file sharing protocols (I recommend Lightweight Music Server), the casting protocols UPnP (used to play to WiiM) and Chromecast, and has Android Auto support too.

I do still run a UPnP setup (MinimServer with BubbleUPnP) for when I want to control multiple zones from a single control point, but Symfonium+LMS is now my daily driver, primarily because of the additional functionality it offers.
Using LMS for two different servers gets confusing quickly 🤣

That's why I use Lyrion when I'm referring to Lyrion Music Server.

Given I'd already referenced Lightweight Music Server I didn't feel the need/motivation to type it all out again :)
The post immediately after yours also referenced LMS but Lyrion this time 🤣

Lovely three letter acronym confusion!
Lyrion MS is still great for a large local library with WiiM streamers (Mini excepted).
