Browsing and organizing USB media library is very tedious

That's very interesting. I had no idea. So you're playing through the WiiM device's Wi-Fi then? I will have to give all that a look. I'm running a DLNA server on a Raspberry Pi.

Meanwhile, yes, anybody with a brain has an Android phone. You can do almost anything with one. Glad you have Android too. I have a Pixel.

Thanks for all the information!

I use a pi5 running picoreplayer, it's fanatastic server and music management system.

The onyl reason I bought a Wiim, if it didn't support LMS I'd have bought another streamer

Given you're on Android you should take a look at Symfonium.

It supports a wide range of servers and file sharing protocols (I recommend Lightweight Music Server), the casting protocols UPnP (used to play to WiiM) and Chromecast, and has Android Auto support too.

I do still run a UPnP setup (MinimServer with BubbleUPnP) for when I want to control multiple zones from a single control point, but Symfonium+LMS is now my daily driver, primarily because of the additional functionality it offers.
Using LMS for two different servers gets confusing quickly 🤣

That's why I use Lyrion when I'm referring to Lyrion Music Server.

Given I'd already referenced Lightweight Music Server I didn't feel the need/motivation to type it all out again :)
The post immediately after yours also referenced LMS but Lyrion this time 🤣

Lovely three letter acronym confusion!
Lyrion MS is still great for a large local library with WiiM streamers (Mini excepted).

Hello, I'm answering about the upp wiim home and its considerations. I don't know how you say I've been using it since January 2025 and I have been using it since January 2025 and I have to say that it has given me the opportunity to listen in a simple and fluid way to the library of lossless files set aside on the hard disk and I listened only with foobar on the PC and never on my system. Now I'm enjoying the reproduction of these files on my system. The only drawback is that I can't add the articles to the bookmarks, which I only did at the beginning. Maybe because I added files to the library but now I can't. In addition, it only makes me add songs to the playlists and not albums. Also every time I try to add albums to favourites, it makes me do it but I find those albums in recent reproductions. Apart from that I can manage the library but it was only for a practical fact to have favourites at hand. Having said that, I am satisfied with the product and the primary functionality, reproduction, etc. I hope I haven't gone on too long. Greetings

@Mimmo

Welcome.

But... please post in English; it's easier for you to translate once rather than all of us translate.
You will probably get better / more replies too!

Sorry, I'm new

Benvenuto.

I'm new to the forum, sorry, but is it mandatory to post in English? You said that with an air of superiority I can't explain.

Yes, as explained, it’s much easier for all the other members if you post in English. If you don’t, everyone else has to translate it and as a result, your post may not get the attention and response it deserves. The advice was not offered with an air of superiority, just pragmatism.

Again, welcome to the forum :)

Hi Mimmo.

Look at it like this. If you use Google translate, that only has to be done once. If you post in Spanish, it has to be translated by everyone reading it (who doesn’t does Spanish).

Just as a general concept, I look at it this way (and this also applies to English speakers using correct grammar, etc.).

If someone comes here and asks a question, they’re asking people to help them. You could preface each question with the phrase “could you do me a favour”.

If I ever ask someone to do me a favour, the last thing I’d do is present the question to them in the most awkward way (for them) possible. I’d be bending over backwards to make as easy for them to do me a favour as possible.

That’s just good manners, in any language.
