Is there a specific reason why every time I try to change the input on the WiiM Ultra it asks me to confirm on the screen. Is there no way to disable this function? This only happens on the touch screen. This does not happen in the app.

The specific reason is that WiiM designed it that way. There is currently no way to change this. It's touchscreen only, right.

Wouldn't it make sense to rather post this as a feature request or in the general WiiM Ultra sub-forum? The topic is not related to any firmware update. It's bin like this from the original firmware on.

Seconded! You already have to press the home button and then the change input button to get there, pretty sure I'd like to change the input by then.

Agreed. It’s an unnecessary extra step that I hope still is on the To Do list at @WiiM Support.
On the other hand the extra safety step that was added to the app some revisions ago to avoid an accidental change from variable to 100% volume was most welcome. The lack of that step was a potential speaker killer.
