Tidal Connect, does it deliver exactly the same quality regardless what unit I use ?

I use a very old android phone (2018) as playback controller, and get the feeling it’s not the same as from iPhone 16PM

For sure my crazy mind playing games, but I do have to ask…

As you already said, the phone is just the controller. No audio data passes through the phone. The Tidal Connect enabled device, e.g. a WiiM Amp Pro, gets the stream directly from Tidal's servers. So it's hard to see how that should influence the quality.

Sounds like reasonable.
Feels better to get it confirmed

I use an even older android tablet for tidal.
So old that the ultra only shows black and white album covers and the music has pops and clicks

But more seriously, it does show how much the mind plays into music perception!
