Connecting an external dac to my Ultra

An audio friend of mine gifted me a fiio k11r2r dac. Haven’t received it yet but when I connect it I’ll either use USB or coaxial. If I use USB will that connection power the dac or will I need to hook it I to external power also?

It needs 12V so you will need to use the supplied power supply.

My only WiiM is my Pro and together with the FiiO R2R it is everything I expect from streaming. For me the difference between NOS and OS is quite significant, the possibility to switch is fine. Big orchestras NOS, small ensembles OS. Or vice versa ;-)
The only missing feature could be a remote. Highly recommended for a casual listener. No idea how it measures, for a more modest user like me its great.

Did you connect via coax usb or optical?

Coax, no USB chance with the Pro ;-) Coax only because a fitting 30 cm cable was here, the shortest optical cable in stock here was not so good to hide.
