Trying to save the line in put for another device.
Would going optical solve the problem?

The wiim's hdmi is arc only, not audio input.

Is it an LG UN9000 TV?

Check the HDMI terminal on the TV and connect to the terminal marked 'ARC'.

If there is an eARC on/off toggle within the TV's HDMI settings, turn it off.

It is also recommended to set the TV's digital audio output to PCM.

I have a Panasonic ub820 connected to my ultra via optical it works fine that way
But I am using it as a cd player not for movies or tv
